Coalitions increase an entity’s ability to impact an issue.  Often coalitions are comprised of groups with widely disparate interests that come together to work toward a single common goal.

Coalitions come in all shapes and sizes.  The one common denominator is the need for an overarching, comprehensive strategy to achieve the goal that includes a system to recruit members, to communicate regularly and with a common voice, and to lobby effectively, incorporating a strong grassroots program.
