My meeting with the Bosnian delegation was very interesting. The 6 educators were principals from high schools around the country. One of the principal’s schools was over 400 years old! That was a big reminder to me of how young our country is.
The educators were very interested in how to help parents organize to support their schools and the ways in which parents are typically involved in American schools.
The educators also had lots of questions about political advocacy. While their new government is still too young for citizens to know how to participate, they were very excited about the possibilities in the near future.
I would love to visit Bosnia to help them achieve their advocacy goals!
