For the third year, Jim was invited to speak to students who visited the State Capitol as part of a program sponsored by the Junior State of America. The Texas program enhances knowledge of state government, public speaking, and political activism, while offering students the opportunity to debate some of the most controversial issues facing the United States and Texas today.
High School students from all over Texas and other neighboring states came to Austin for a week to hear from elected officials, judges, journalists, campaign consultants and others. Jim’s presentation was about the role of a lobbyist in the public policy process.
